Canopies provide two major benefits. The first is that the showers are kept on the outside, and the other is to reduce the effect of the cold wind when riding your scooter. Those with asthma and other breathing difficulties can particularly suffer in these conditions. A canopy can be fitted to most scooters (they are not suitable for car boot scooters.) and will give scooter users much greater comfort and flexibility. This means the scooter really can be used in most weather conditions.
Available for most 3 or 4 wheel scooters, soft-top canopies are made from heavy duty waterproof PVC polyester. You will need to specify accurately which make and model of scooter you have as each canopy has different mounting brackets and will be tailored to fit your own type precisely using computerised cutting techniques. Clear panels are fitted allowing front and rear lights to show through and rear flaps or cut outs allow access to on-off levers or built in battery chargers. For those looking for the most straightforward canopy we have simplified a few features and are supplying this type in two single colour alternatives only: Burgundy or a neutral light grey.
De-luxe canopies come in four two tone alternatives. These are supplied as white at the top with burgundy, dark blue, dark grey or dark green panels below to match most scooter colour schemes. Additional heat set taped seams are used inside the roofs of our de-luxe canopies to reduce the small chance of water seepage in extreme weather conditions. These can now be described as virtually 100% waterproof, a milestone for flexible sewn canopies.
A full range of accessories specifically for scooters with canopies is also available.
