Platform/Tail Lifts

Platform lifts are powered by the battery of the vehicle and can be operated by the user or an assistant. Again there are several options available depending on your vehicle. Some platform lifts will fold away and store inside the vehicle when not in use, while others may stow away under the vehicle chassis.

Drop-floor cars

An increasing number of companies are offering the service of adapting cars and vans by lowering their floors and/or raising their roofs to quickly and easily accommodate wheelchair users. Ramps or hydraulic lifts may still be required and once the wheelchair is safely inside the vehicle it will be secured to the floor with clamps.
