Who is exempted from paying VAT?
The government in its wisdom has stated that VAT must be added to all mobility scooters and powerchairs, unless the buyer has a disability. (Who else are we suppose to sell our products to?)!!!
We will have you make a standardised VAT declaration at the point of sale. You do not have to prove you're disabled in any way. You don't have to show us a doctor's note, a medical certificate, or anything.
For this reason, all of our products are priced without VAT, the price we quote is the price you pay.
