If you currently suffer from pressure sores, or if you have ever suffered from them at any time in the past, we STRONGLY RECOMMEND you consult an Occupational Therapist to advise you on your choice of mobility vehicle, especially the seating specification. Similarly, if you have a spinal injury or disease, it is HIGHLY ADVISABLE for you to consult with an Occupational Therapist before making your final purchase. Yes, this does cost money, but it could save you thousands in the long run, not to mention the savings in discomfort or pain, and in worst case scenario exacerbating your spinal injury. Much better to spend now than to end up with either a vehicle which you cannot use, or one which will cause you discomfort, pain or possible further injury somewhere down the line.
